Lisa is a Christian, daughter, mother, and friend. She has lived in the Hilltop community for more than 55 years. She believes that we can change lives by creating opportunities for everyone regardless of their socio-economic background. With 32 years of rich and diverse experience in the field of education, Lisa has dedicated her career to nurturing young minds and fostering a love for learning. Her journey as an educator began with a passion for early childhood education, where she discovered the profound impact that a strong educational foundation can have on a child's development. Over the years, she has worked with children of various age groups, from early learners to adolescents, to teenagers, adapting my teaching methods to meet their unique needs and learning styles. The bible states in Psalms 27:14 to “Wait on the Lord: be of good courage and He shall strengthen thine heart.”
She has also strived to educate adults with a comprehensive approach that addresses every aspect of their lives, from professional development to personal growth. Adult education encompasses a wide range of learning opportunities, including vocational training, continuing education, and life skills enhancement. By tailoring educational programs to meet the diverse needs and experiences of adult learners, we can empower them to achieve their full potential. This holistic approach recognizes that learning is a lifelong process, integrating practical skills with theoretical knowledge to enhance their careers, foster personal development, and improve their overall quality of life. Whether through formal education or community-based programs, the goal is to create an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages adults to pursue their passions, overcome challenges, and contribute meaningfully to society.
Lisa is deeply passionate about feeding God's people, driven by the belief that nourishing the body and soul is a profound act of love and service. This commitment is rooted in the teachings of scripture, particularly Matthew 25:35, where Jesus says, "For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me." This verse inspires me to extend kindness and compassion to those in need, embodying the spirit of generosity and care that lies at the heart of my faith. By providing sustenance and support, I strive to honor God's call to serve and uplift our community.
